The Silver Bullet is a Wild West themed mobile and online slot game, released by Playtech. It features some rather rudimentary images upon its reels, and is one of Playtech’s older slots, featuring the Dollar Ball progressive jackpot system.
All in all, 5 reels and just 9 paylines are available to be wagered on in Silver Bullet, with players able to choose coin denominations of 1p up to £5. Players can only stake one coin per line, but they can adjust the number of lines they play with. Minimum and maximum wagers stem from a low of 1p per line, per spin, up to £45 a spin, respectively. Players can win up to 10,000x their total bet in Silver Bullet.
The Sheriff’s badge is the wild symbol in Silver Bullet, with players able to use it to substitute for all other icons in the game, barring the scatter icon. Wilds have no value on their own.
A pistol represents the scatter icon, and it can offer you multiplied bet winnings. For instance, if 2, 3, 4 or 5 of them appear anywhere on the reels, you will win 1x, 5x, 10x or 100x your total bet, respectively.
Dollar Ball Progressive Jackpot
In order to stand a chance of winning Silver Bullet’s progressive jackpot, players will need to activate the Dollar Ball feature. This bonus will cost you exactly £1 extra to play, and works as a side-bet. A series of numbers will flash up along the Dollar Ball scroll, and if those numbers match the ones you have been given with this feature, then you will win the progressive jackpot, or a portion of it. This lottery-style progressive feature is not used anymore in modern Playtech games.
It will hardly have escaped your attention that there are no other special features in this game. This is a real drawback. No free spin bonus games, or pick and win bonuses are present. That makes it rather difficult to land extra wins. The lack of bonus features plays a major part in why this slot has never really become a success story.
