About Aztec Rising
There are many Aztec Rising video slots on the net, but Eyecon’s game is quite unlike the others. They have chosen to go for a more colourful take on the theme, and one which does make the slot stand out from rival developers’ games. Aztec Rising slot is played over a total of 5 reels and 25 paylines, with players able to stake anything from a low of 1p per spin, up to a maximum wager of £10 per spin. That’s a pretty petite wagering range for any video slot, not least one that comes with moderately decent special features. The jackpot in the slot is non-progressive, and is capped at 100x the player’s total stake.

There are wild icons in this slot. They take the shape of a temple icon, just like the kind you would find at Tenochtitlan. These wild symbols can replace all other icons in the game, but not the bonus or free spin icons.
The free spins symbol appears as a coin icon. When between 3 and 5-coin scatter symbols appear in any positions on the screen, the player will trigger a free spins bonus round. Players will win a total of just 15 free spins for 3 coin scatters. Of course, the more coin scatters they land, the more free spins they will get to start the game with.
A bonus icon appears as a Mayan Calendar (which is strange, for an Aztec themed slot). This bonus icon can trigger a petite bonus round if 3 or more appear on the reels. In this bonus feature, players must choose from a series of stones, in order to win multipliers against their total bet. In all, players can win up to 100x their bet with this bonus round.
Aztec Rising slot is pretty straight forward with its special features, but we do like the fact that it contains two bonus rounds. There are no overly complicated features in this game, so players shouldn’t have to try too hard to get to grips with the game.
